MAINE, N.Y. -- A rollover crash in the town of Maine led to woman being hospitalized.

Authorities say multiple units responded to the area of Dunham Hill Road and Route 26 around 12:40 Tuesday afternoon to find a vehicle on its side with a woman trapped inside.

Officials say it took them about 45 minutes or so to free her. Fortunately, she's is expected to be OK.

Crews also dealt with a transformer on fire and live wires scattered across the road. A lack of first responders made it more challenging.

"We need people to join the volunteer fire companies and get involved. Without the help of Endicott fire helping us out up here, everybody's shorthanded,” said Glen Aubrey Fire Chief Gary Smith.

No other injuries were reported. An investigation is underway.
