A 15-year-old was arrested after posting a threat online against Johnson City schools.

The teen is from Binghamton, and has no known connection with the district.

While police say the teen didn't intend to follow through with the threat, they increased their presence out of caution.

The teen was charged with making a terroristic threat, a class D felony. If convicted, it carries a sentence that could range from probation to seven years in prison.
