As school vacation starts, kids are looking for something to do. The Corning Museum of glass is one place that sees a rise in the number of visitors.

Many students are on a mid-winter break. With so much spare time, some go to the museum. Exhibits on display include "Endeavor" and "It's Raining Knives."

The museum is currently running its "you design it, we make it" program, in which students can design a piece and potentially have it made.

“Kids can draw a picture and our glass makers will choose one of them and make it into glass. So it's very fun," said Media and Public Relations Manager Kim Thompson. "And then the kid gets to keep the piece at the end."

The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For ticket information, go to https://www.cmog.org/.
