National and local varsity teams, Union-Endicott and Binghamton, played at Davis College this weekend for the inaugural Fighting Breast Cancer Holiday Classic tournament.

Those involved hope the two-day event will show people the importance of getting tested regularly.

Some even played in honor of family members who are breast cancer survivors.

"She's my aunt," said Kaziah Ross, who is on the Binghamton girls varsity basketball team. "It's family and she's very close to me, and I always remember hanging out with her and doing things especially around this time. So, it's kind of hard, and this is supposed to make sure everyone knows about it, because anyone could get it."

All donations from the event will go to the United Health Services Foundation.
