VESTAL, N.Y. — While many were out shopping for Black Friday, one local organization was making sure every child has a toy to unwrap during the holidays.

For the 10th straight year, the Children's Charity of Greater Binghamton hosted "Give Back Friday.”

The event is the single largest holiday toy drive in Broome County.

Last year, the organization brought toys to more than 4,000 children in the community.

And organizers say it really makes a difference in these kids' lives.

"To many people, that $5 or $10 doesn't mean that much, but to a child that receives that toy, there's a whole new meaning. That literally is priceless to a kid that might not get anything else this Christmas," said Jim Worhach, president of the Children’s Charity of Greater Binghamton.

The Children's Charity of Greater Binghamton will be accepting donations through the end of the holidays.
