BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The state is one step closer to bringing a bringing an inpatient addiction treatment center to Broome County.
Earlier this month, officials announced a plan to renovate Broome Developmental Center
Thursday night, about 150 people attended an informational forum at Chenango Valley High School. They asked questions and shared comments to a panel of elected officials, health care professionals and law enforcement leaders.
Most attendees say they support bringing a treatment center to the region.
The proposed facility will serve as a detox center and is expected to open early next year.
