The weather played a role in a handful of crashes Tuesday morning, including one on Interstate 81 North in Cortland.

The Cortland County Sheriff's Office says the truck jackknifed right at Exit 11, closing the off-ramp from 6:15 a.m. until well after 10 a.m.

Deputies say the driver was ticketed for unsafe speed.

There was also a tractor-trailer crash on the Thruway in Warners early on, which caused some minor delays for commuters heading toward Syracuse.
