SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- While most Syracuse football fans are still drinking up the improbable upset of then-No. 2 Clemson inside the Carrier Dome, excuse some long-suffering Orange diehards who can't help but see the glass as not-quite-full.

The program hasn't basked in a lot of national acclaim and publicity in the last 15 years, but after a strong finish in 2012, alumnus and former player Doug Marrone split as head coach, leaving what he called his "dream job" for the NFL.

Current head coach Dino Babers has Syracuse clicking, and after the 27-24 victory, spent the weekend winning over recruits and college football broadcasters alike. Babers said Syracuse, which never trailed the Tigers, has everything he wants and something no other place can offer – the Loud House.

"I love this place. I think it's awesome. This is a fantastic home field advantage, and, I just hope every home game is like the one we just played," Babers said on Monday.

Syracuse has won two games in a row but stands at 4-3, and has another top 10 team on the schedule this weekend in Miami, and while the team and coaches remain focused, we met fans up on the SU hill that are already thinking ahead.
