BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- With the LUMA projection arts festival less than two weeks away, organizers leaned on the community to keep the event alive, and the community responded.
The one-of-a-kind festival animates historic buildings in downtown Binghamton, making them appear to warp or evolve into other structures.
Organizers have reached their $25,000 Kickstarter goal as of Tuesday afternoon.
Last year, more than 30,000 people attended.
This year is also set to be bigger and better than ever, featuring world-renowned projectionists from Budapest, Barcelona, San Francisco and New York City.
LUMA Festival begins Friday, September 1 at 9 p.m.
