SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: It is a population that many say goes ignored. But, one Binghamton man has set out to make sure this group of residents is heard.

Last week, Angel Maldonado touched city leaders as he talked about his life as an ex-felon and his desire to move forward. 

After hearing his story, 3D Housing Initiative for artists, graduate students and professionals turned into the Second Chance Housing Initiative.

Funds from charities and grants will be used to help ex-felons, recovering addicts and fmailies in need renovate vacant and foreclosed homes for permenant housing.
