Corning's baseball team defeated Ithaca 7-6 in extra innings on Friday in the Section IV Class AA semifinal.

Ithaca had two outs in the bottom of the seventh with no men on base for Corning. After two singles, the Little Red changed pitchers and Corning caught fire.

Kellan Beall hit a double that scored two runs and then Nathaniel Snavely ripped one down the right field line to score the tying run and force extras.

From there, Steven Rossi shut down Ithaca and with a runner in scoring position, Adam Zingler hit a ball to the right field wall for the game winning run. Corning advances to the Section IV Class AA final and will play Horseheads.
