CONKLIN, N.Y. -- A man is in the hospital and another is in custody following a stabbing in the town of Conklin.
State Police say there was a fight on Conklin Road around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Police say one man was stabbed, and had to be hospitalized.
The suspect, 67-year-old Douglas Slater, was arrested in Binghamton.
Police tracked him down after getting a description of the vehicle from the scene.
He is charged with one count of first-degree assault.
It is not clear what led up to the fight.
