State lawmakers are still figuring out the best ways to prevent sexual harassment in and out of government. This week the senate passed a package of bills to define what constitutes harassment, expand protections to independent contractors, and limit non-disclosure agreements. The Assembly is also working on legislation. And if anyone doubts the need for action, two lawmakers have been collecting the evidence. They have written a letter about the anti-harassment movement known as #MeToo and so far, more than a hundred other people working at the capitol have signed on to it.
