Charter School supporters are again pushing for an end to the cap on the number of charters schools in the state, and to be funded at the same level as traditional public schools. They held their annual rallly today in Albany, and again several lawmakers made appearances. But the charter movement has also seen some of it's high-profile supporters get into trouble lately, with one organization, Families for Excellent Schools, yesterday announcing plans to scale back after firing its CEO for inappropriate behavior.
