ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- It started with President Trump’s shot at the NFL.

“I know a lot of guys were deeply hurt by it and guys who wouldn’t normally take a knee did it because there was a line drawn in the sand," Bills center Eric Wood said.

Legendary Bills quarterback Jim Kelly says he feels LeSean McCoy crossed a line by neither kneeling or standing, but stretching during the anthem Sunday, with Kelly saying on a Buffalo radio show he’s lost respect for the running back.

It’s believed the two have since talked, but those remarks still don’t sit well with linebacker Jerry Hughes.

“The Bills don’t know how the protests will go moving forward, but their intentions remain the same: To try and bring about positive change," Hughes said.
