SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Many at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital consider Halloween the best day of the year. About 70 children dressed up in costumes and participated in a parade around the hospital collecting candy and other treats.

Their parents and the staff also got in on the fun and dressed up.

"On special days like today, holidays and where they would be having a lot of fun at school and at home with their family and friends, we try and bring that to the hospital setting as well," said Bridget Hussey, an Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital child life specialist.

The Ghostbusters also came to visit. Participants were treated to a free catered lunch.
