CHAPEL HILL - Carolina Meadows in Chapel Hill is helping their workers become US citizens and the seniors living there are the tutors.

It's a partnership between Carolina Meadows and the Chatham Literacy Council.

"I was willing to help because being a citizen of the United States is such a priviledge and most of us who were just born here maybe don't appreciate that but I certainly do," said resident and tutor Mary Morrow.

The program started in 2011. Six current employees recieved their citizenship within the last year.
