RALEIGH, N.C. -- Enloe is off to their best start in 10 years. At 4-0 during non-conference play, Eagles players say their work in the off-season is what separates them from their opponent this Friday night.

  • Enloe has shown the ability to impose their will at times
  • Sanderson believes their biggest test Friday night will be to match the physical, grinding style of the Eagles
  • The Spartans and Eagles kickoff Cap 7 conference play at Enloe High School Friday night at 7 p.m.

"They're not out here at 4 o'clock in the morning running sprints, they're not here running sprints until you're on the ground throwing up on the sideline," urged senior defensive end Christian Rorie. "They're not built like us."

Enloe has shown the ability to impose their will at times. The offense runs through Yale commit Hamilton Moore who averages nearly 170 rush yards per game.

"Sometimes you've got to get back to the root of the game which is just ground and pound," admitted Enloe head coach Ken Blocker. "So we want to make sure we just keep pushing and pushing."

At 2-2, Sanderson believes they're a young team coming together at the right time. They believe their biggest test Friday night will be to match the physical, grinding style of the Eagles.

"They're big, they're physical. So it's going to be a physical test for us," said Sanderson head coach Ben Kolstad. "They're going to challenge how physical we are, that's been our motto all week, is we're going to try and be as physical as them."

"We're excited, and to match that physicality and it goes back to we can't let each other down," added senior linebacker Max Webster. "So we know we've got to blow them up, meet them there right in the middle and don't let them move."

The Spartans and Eagles kickoff Cap 7 conference play at Enloe High School Friday night at 7 p.m. Tune into the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina "Friday Night Final" at 11 p.m. after the game for complete highlights and recap.
