CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Tar Heel Blue is feeling just that in early September.

After a three-win season last fall, they are not headed in the right direction to rebound from that disappointing campaign. Their head coach Larry Fedora, who came into the year already on the hot seat, may really be feeling the burn after this weekend.

Carolina suffered a 41-19 defeat to an ECU team which had loss to an FCS opponent the week prior. Fedora and the Heels will now have to prepare for a UCF team which currently holds the longest winning streak within the FBS. A win in their home opener would help fan the flames but this adversity should go a long way in developing character for his current football roster.

Fedora says, "Adversity is something that you have to deal with. If you're going to live in this world, you're going to have to deal with it everyday whether it's going to be on the field, whether it's going to be in the classroom or whether it's going to be at home, I mean that's life. So, how we handle adversity is who we are and what we become."
