CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Hornets General Manager Mitch Kupchak will likely be making a selection with the 11th overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft and not trading away the selection.

  • Kupchak and his scouting staff are more than likely looking at guards or wing players.
  • The Hornets held their final pre-draft workout on Tuesday with Jerome Robinson and Sam Hunt.
  • The Hornets worked out 70 prospective draft picks.

Kupchak told reporters on Tuesday that he and his scouting staff are more than likely looking at guards or wing players when their draft pick rolls around.

"Right now, I think the best player on the board is the player we're gonna go after," Kupchak said. "I'd expect that player to be either a guard or a wing. I don't know that. There are some really high quality bigs in the draft, and I think everybody knows who they are. I'd be surprised if any of those top four or five get to us."

The Hornets held their final pre-draft workout on Tuesday, with some local flavor.

Raleigh native Jerome Robinson and Greensboro native Sam Hunt took the floor in the last pre-draft session held by the team.

The Hornets worked out 70 prospective draft picks in the weeks leading up to the draft.
