CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Sam Hunt's college basketball career had a couple of twists and turns but the Greensboro native's travels have paid off, landing him pre-draft workouts with NBA teams.

  • Hunt played for three different schools in his college career; Jacksonville, North Carolina A&T, and N.C. State
  • Hint appeared in 33 games for the Wolfpack, averaging 5.5 points per game last season
  • The proximity to his hometown, as well as his knowledge of the team, makes the Charlotte Hornets one of Hunt's favorite stops

However, his favorite stop may have been Charlotte.

The proximity to his hometown, as well as his knowledge of the team, made his Tuesday workout in front of Hornets coaches and staff one to remember.

"Being from this area, and seeing the Hornets play, it was exciting to be here. Finally getting to see the facility and play and practice in this gym," Hunt told reporters following his Tuesday workout.

Hunt played for three different schools in his college career, starting off at Jacksonville, before moving to North Carolina A&T for two seasons. He transferred to N.C. State for his final season of eligibility, playing under Kevin Keatts in Raleigh.

Hunt appeared in 33 games for the Wolfpack, averaging 5.5 points per game last season.
