RALEIGH-- The Carolina Hurricanes have added Jeff Daniels to their coaching staff, bringing Daniels back to the Hurricanes bench where he worked as an assistant from 2003 thru 2008, winning the Stanley Cup with the team in 2006.

  • Daniels was the Head Coach of the Hurricanes American Hockey League affiliates in Albany, NY and Charlotte, NC from 2008 through 2015
  • He has also worked in player development and scouting for the franchise
  • Won Stanley Cup with team in 2006

“Jeff has served as a head coach in the American Hockey League, and of course won the ultimate prize as an assistant on the NHL level,” said Hurricanes President and General Manager Don Waddell.

“Rod has played with and under Jeff, so he has a great understanding for the experience and knowledge that he brings to the table.”

Daniels was the Head Coach of the Hurricanes American Hockey League affiliates in Albany, NY and Charlotte, NC from 2008 through 2015, posting an overall mark of 268-225-51.

He has also worked in player development and scouting for the franchise.
