CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- A player for the UNC-Chapel Hill men's basketball player is now off the team.

The university said freshman guard Jalek Felton was suspended from the school and is no longer eligible to play.

The South Carolina-native played in 22 games this season. He averaged 2.9 points and 1.6 assists per game.

There been no word on the reason for the suspension.

Jalek Felton is the nephew of former Tar Heel guard Raymond Felton, who helped the team win the 2005 NCAA Championship and currently plays with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
