RALEIGH, N.C. -- Kroger is closing its grocery stores in the Triangle area, a move that is indicative of the market in the state’s urban areas. More and more, grocery store chains are focusing on customer experiences, convenience and pricing. As grocery store chains move in from the south (Publix) and the north (Wegmans), North Carolina chains have to change to meet customer needs.

Professor Katrijn Gielens, a marketing expert at UNC-Chapel Hill and Katie Peralta of The Charlotte Observer joined Capital Tonight anchor Tim Boyum to talk about these grocery store wars in North Carolina.
