RALEIGH, N.C. -- After a week of up and down temperatures, we'll see more mild weather into the upcoming weekend.

  • Saturday will start with clouds
  • More showers will develop across the state
  • Lesser chance of precipitation on Sunday

High pressure will continue to pull moist air across North Carolina and with the moisture we'll see more warm air. We will continue to see clouds with a chance light shower through the night.

For Saturday, the day will start with clouds.  Into the afternoon, more showers will develop across the state. That chance of showers will continue into Saturday night.

There's a lesser chance of precipitation on Sunday. However, with a cold front moving across the region, we may see a few isolated showers and even a few isolated thundershowers. Temperatures on Sunday with run well above average for early December.

Today marks the final day of the Atlantic Basin tropical season.  All is quiet across the basin.
