ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. -- Five Orange County high school students appeared in a courtroom Wednesday after a brawl Tuesday at the school.

  • The students were charged with everything from fighting to assaulting law enforcement officers.
  • Three of them are facing felony charges that could land them in prison for more than seven years.
  • The four males and one female all showed up to court after being released on bond.

The students were charged with everything from fighting to assaulting law enforcement officers and seriously injuring one of Orange County High School's assistant principals.

All of the teenage defendants were accompanied by a guardian.
