In 1993, flight attendants held a strike that shut down the carrier's operation. The strike was held to protest oppressive work schedules, failed scheduling systems, punitive sick policy, toxic workplace, and contract and seniority violations.

"It’s unbelievable that we are here 25 years later still fighting for fair and equitable working conditions for our Flight Attendants,” said Association of Professional Flight Attendants National President Bassani.

Sunday, the flight attendants held an informational picketing event with a message that "It's time to wake up America!"

Other airports that participated included locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Miami, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Chicago.
