ROLESVILLE, N.C. -- A former Rolesville Police officer is suing the town, saying the former police chief made unwanted sexual advances toward him.

  • The Town of Rolesville is being sued by a former police officer.
  • The officer claims the former police chief made unwelcomed advances toward him in a hotel room in Charlotte.
  • The former police chief is now deceased.

Documents state that the officer was with the former police chief in Charlotte for training where he learned the booking had been made for a room with only one bed.

The two shared the bed and during the night the officer claims to have been touched inappropriately multiple times.

The officer left the next day without completing the training.

The police chief apologized for his behavior and said he would resign, but killed himself a few days later.

The suit alleged sexual harassment and battery. The amount being sought by the prosecution is unclear at this time as court documents show it exceeds jurisdictional limits.
