There are no tricks in the Halloween forecast this year!  A full day of sunshine will warm temperatures to near 70 and the low 70s Wednesday afternoon.  Temperatures should be in the 60s for prime "trick or treat" time from around 6 to 9pm.  With mostly clear skies, lows will eventually drop to the 50s from late Wednesday night through early Thursday morning.

Trick or treat forecast

A warm fall afternoon is forecast for Thursday.  Temperatures will reach the mid 70s with increasing clouds through the day.

There is a small chance for a few isolated showers or storms late Thursday ahead of an approaching front.   That front will bring the highest chance for rain this week on Friday afternoon and evening.

We should not see all day rain like last Friday, but the front moving through the state will produce showers and storms sweeping through the region.   A few of the storms could be strong with the potential for damaging wind gusts.  Much of central North Carolina should see around a quarter of an inch to one inch of rain.

Highs will warm to the 70s on Friday.  The 60s are forecast for Saturday and Sunday.  After Friday evening, dry conditions are expected through the weekend.
