A cold front slowly working its way across North Carolina will bring a range in high temperatures across central North Carolina Tuesday.   North of Raleigh and Durham, temperatures will stay in the 60s all day.  Highs should top out around 70 to the low 70s in the Triangle.  The Sandhills and southeastern North Carolina should warm well into the mid and upper 70s.  Some locations near the South Carolina border will be near 80.

Widespread rain is not expected with Tuesday's front across North Carolina.  There may just be a few brief spotty showers during the day.  A higher chance for showers expected late Tuesday night.  Much of the day will just be mostly cloudy.

Any showers associated with the front from late Tuesday night will be coming to an end near or shortly after sunrise Wednesday.  Low temperatures will range from around 60 in the Triangle to the mid 60s in the Sandhills.

Skies should become mostly sunny Wednesday afternoon with highs in the low and mid 70s.

Cooler temperatures will arrive Wednesday night.  Lows should drop to the mid 40s by Thursday morning.  By Friday morning, lows could drop to near 40.

Thursday and Friday will both be mostly sunny with highs in the 60s.
