CARTHAGE, NORTH CAROLINA – A bomb threat cleared out a McDonald’s and two other businesses in Carthage Sunday.

  • Police say a caller said the bomb was under an oven inside the restaurant
  • Customers inside a nearby Walgreens and convenience store were also evacuated
  • The incident is being investigated

According to police, the caller said the bomb was under an oven inside the restaurant.

Everyone inside the restaurant was evacuated so officers could search the building.

Customers inside a nearby Walgreens and convenience store were also evacuated.

The restaurant remains closed so investigators can review security footage.

No injuries were reported.
