RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA -- The first few weeks of fall have certainly not felt like fall across North Carolina, but cooler weather is on the way for the weekend.

  • Mostly clear skies with below average overnight temperatures
  • More clouds build into the state on Sunday
  • Michael is no longer a tropical system

High pressure building in behind Tropical Storm Michael has set the stage for a cool-down for the next few days.

Through the night, we'll see mostly clear skies with below average overnight temperatures.

A disturbance will cross the region on Saturday morning.  This may produce a few clouds as it passes.  High pressure builds back into the area by Saturday afternoon giving us more sunshine.

More clouds build into the state on Sunday but even with partly cloudy to partly sunny skies, there is no chance for precipitation.

In the tropics, Michael is no longer a tropical system.  Leslie is moving toward Europe and Nadine looks to dissipate in the next 24 to 36 hours.
