CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The woman who says now-Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school has been nominated for an award at her alma mater, UNC.
- Christine Blasey Ford, who said Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her, has been nominated for a UNC award.
- She graduated from UNC in 1988.
- Kavanaugh was confirmed by the Senate last weekend.
Christine Blasey Ford has been nominated for a UNC-Chapel Hill Distinguished Alumna Award for going public with her story.
She graduated from the university in 1988 with a bachelor's Degree in psychology.
Following the hearing and an additional FBI investigation, the U.S. Senate confirmed Kavanaugh's nomination by a vote of 50-48 on Saturday. He was sworn in later that day.
