McMahon toured the Robeson Community College to ensure proper outreach is happening in the community. The organization is providing up to $2 million in loans for business owners, up to $200,000 for homeowners and up to $40,000 for renters.

One Lumberton man said he was denied by FEMA and hopes the SBA can get him back on his feet.

"Do some maybe small improvements and just get back to normal," homeowner Bryon Patterson said. "We're just fully recovering from Matthew and now to do it all over again to make some final improvements to our home."

Anyone seeking assistance can stop by the Robeson Community College at the Workforce Development Center. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
