This has been the 9th warmest start to October on record for Raleigh, and it does not look like we will be cooling down anytime soon.

Friday's high temperatures will range from the upper 80s across the Triangle to low 90s across the Sandhills.  The average high for this time of year in central North Carolina is around 76.

Plenty of sun is expected for much of the day, but a few showers and storms could develop by late afternoon into th early evening.

We have not cooled down much at night this past week and that will continue to be the case over the weekend.  The low early Saturday morning should only drop to around 70.

Saturday afternoon will not be quite as warm as Friday with highs topping out in the low 80s.

The mid 80s are forecast for Sunday through much of next week.  Morning lows next week should be in the mid to upper 60s.
