NORTH CAROLINA – As North Carolinians begin picking up the pieces from Hurricane Florence, federal funds for those affected by the storm are already being dispersed.

President Trump approved funds for North Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Those seeking disaster assistance need to visit DissasterAssistance.gov and fill out the form to apply for FEMA funds.

However, in a press conference held by Governor Roy Cooper Friday, FEMA officials urged North Carolinians not to delay beginning restorations until funds are approved.
