Police say dozens of people walked in and stole numerous items from the store.

When officers arrived on the scene, the store management was not interested in pressing charges.

In response to the looting, city officials tweeted on Saturday that a curfew extension is now in place for the block between 13th, 14th, Greenfield and Martin streets.

"Looting is the type of situation that happens sometimes when disasters occur. We're aware of it and we're taking measures to confront it. This community has been through a lot right now and we feel very strongly that looters are exploiting people at a time like this. We need to take a strong stand. We take looting very seriously and we are going to aggressively pursue with the support of our DA, any kind of looting that goes on,” said Assistant Police Chief Mitch Cunningham.

The curfew went into effect at 5 p.m. Saturday and will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday.

The citywide curfew will run from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
