CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Friday marks six years since authorities found a UNC student murdered in her own apartment.

  • Faith Hedgepeth, 19, was found dead on Sept. 7, 2012.

To this day, Chapel Hill police still don't know who killed 19-year-old Faith Hedgepeth. But they say that the case remains very much active; not a cold case. 

Hedgepeth’s body was covered in cuts and bruises in 2012.

There is more than $40,000 in reward money for information that leads to an arrest.

Friends and family hope by keeping her name out in the public, somebody will come forward with information.
