DETROIT -- An all-star lineup that includes Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande and many more will perform at Aretha Frankin’s funeral Friday.

  • Fantasia, Shirley Caesar and Rev. William Barber will speak or perform at Aretha Franklin's funeral. 
  • Services will be held in Detroit on Aug. 31
  • Franklin died of pancreatic cancer last Thursday

NC’s own Rev. William Barber, Pastor Shirley Caesar and Fantasia Barrino are set to tribute the singer.

Pastor Caesar and gospel artist Tasha Cobbs-Leonard will give a musical tribute at 12:15 and Barrino will give one at 1:10 p.m.

 

 


 
Rev. Barber will give remarks at 1:00 p.m.

The funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is planned to last until 3:00 p.m 

Franklin died of pancreatic cancer earlier this month.

The Associated Press will live stream the program beginning at 10:00 a.m.
