LUMBERTON, N.C. – There were some tense moments in Lumberton Monday evening after someone stole a truck with a three-week-old baby inside.

• Baby was inside truck stolen on Mimosa Street.
• Police say baby was found unharmed 30 minutes later.
• Suspects face kidnapping and other charges.

Police said it happened just before 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of Mimosa Street.

The baby was found safe about 30 minutes later inside the truck at a store parking lot on N.C. Highway 41 north about three miles outside of the city limits.

Lumberton police are currently seeking two people who may be connected to this case.
