RALEIGH, N.C. -- Raleigh police are investigating an overnight shooting that left two men with minor injuries.

  • Two men suffered non-life threatening injuries.
  • Shooting happened at the Vie complex.
  • Anyone with information on the shooting should call police.

Officers said it happened in the 400 block of Wolf View Drive in west Raleigh around 12:45 a.m.

Neighbors told Spectrum News that guns were pulled during a disagreement over a woman during a party.

One victim was taken to WakeMed Cary. The other was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh.

This is not the first time the apartment complex, which houses mainly NC State, Meredith and Shaw University students, has been in the headlines.

A fatal shooting occurred at the complex in August of 2017 as well.

This came only weeks after the complex notoriously leased units to students, sight-unseen, that turned out to be almost uninhabitable; some units containing mold, bugs, damaged furniture, and having broken HVAC systems.

Additionally, in the Summer of 2013 a man was shot and killed during in a break in at the complex.

If you have any information on the shootings, you're asked to call police or CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-4357.
