RALEIGH -- Kroger has announced it will close all 10 of their remaining Triangle stores on Saturday, earlier than planned.

Corporate Affairs Manager Allison McGee says the early closure is due to products selling faster than expected.

Associates will be allowed the opportunity to work through next Tuesday. Kroger says they will continue to operate five pharmacies and four fuel centers through noon on Aug. 14.

The remaining 10 locations in the Raleigh-Durham area will close for good at 8 p.m. Saturday night.

The five pharmacy locations that will remain open through next Tuesday are:

  • 5116 North Roxboro Road, Durham
  • 1273 West Maynard Road, Cary
  • 940 US 64 Highway, Apex
  • 1802 North Point Drive, Durham
  • 371 East Broad Street, Fuquay-Varina

The four fuel centers that will remain open through noon Aug. 14 are:

  • 202 West NC Highway 54, Durham
  • 3457 Hillsborough Road, Durham
  • 5116 North Roxboro Road, Durham
  • 1371 East Broad Street, Fuquay-Varina
