If you have outdoor plans this weekend, you'll want to keep a close eye on radar especially if those plans are in the afternoon or evening.

We should make it through most of the daytime hours Friday with very little rain across central North Carolina.  Much of the day will be partly cloudy with highs warming to the low 90s in the Triangle and the mid 90s in the Sandhills.  By evening, scattered storms could develop around the region and linger well into the night.

Saturday and Sunday will both bring partly sunny conditions with scattered storms during the afternoon and evening.   Highs both days will be in the upper 80s with early morning lows in the 70s.

Some of the storms this weekend could produce frequent lightning and locally heavy downpours.
