GREENSBORO, N.C. -- We had a few big storms fire Sunday afternoon and evening around the region, and we have more of that on the way.

  • A similar weather pattern from Sunday will remain on Monday.
  • A frontal boundary remains draped across the area.
  • Some storms could be severe.

Our weather setup over the next few days is a very unsettled one. A frontal boundary remains draped across the area, and any little disturbance that rides along that front will fire off areas of showers and storms. So, showers and storms will highlight my forecast today, tomorrow, and Wednesday.

A few storms could be severe with damaging winds the main threat.

Due to the volume of showers and storms, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for much of the region through Tuesday evening. Any areas that pick up multiple rounds of storms could see some flooding issues develop.

The number of showers and storms should decrease Thursday into Friday, but then another unsettled pattern could begin to set up by early next week.
