High pressure sliding off the eastern seaboard brought high temperatures and dew points across the Carolinas for Sunday; looks like near normal temperatures will start off the workweek.

We have been in a quiet weather pattern the past couple of days, but we are expecting a return to scattered showers and thunderstorms as we head back to work.

Expect a partly cloudy day Monday with similar highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, except low to mid 80s near the coast. Only few isolated showers and storms will be possible through the afternoon and evening.

A cold front will begin to slide through our area late Tuesday and stall to our south Wednesday. This will bring a good chance of showers and thunderstorms late Tuesday and into Wednesday.
