After wrapping up the workweek with hotter temperatures, more heat is in the forecast for the weekend.

  • National Weather Service has posted a Heat Advisory for Saturday and Sunday evening
  • Most areas to remain dry
  • Slight chance for afternoon and evening storms

High pressure will control our weather as we head into Saturday. This high will set the stage for above average temperatures, not only for the weekend but into early next week as well.

Due to the heat, the National Weather Service has posted a Heat Advisory from late Saturday morning into Saturday evening.  The combination of heat and humidity will lead to heat index values making it feel like 100 degrees and hotter by Saturday afternoon.  This is dangerous heat and it could put a lot of stress on both people and pets.  Take the necessary precautions to stay cool and hydrated if your going to be out and about in the heat this weekend.

Through the weekend, most areas will stay dry but there is a very slight chance for a few afternoon and evening showers and storms.

Our chance of showers may increase slightly by the middle of next week.
