HARNETT COUNTY, N.C.  -- A couple of local churches have found a way to send a message out of a big mess.

The congregation of Angier's Black Grove Missionary Baptist Church had the roof of their sanctuary collapse back in May, which left them without a place to worship.

That’s when then a neighboring congregation at Lillington's Pleasant Union Christian Church offered to make one of their two buildings available for services.

"The outpouring of love that has been shown to us even in this place by Pastor Lawson and Pleasant Union Christian Church offering this facility for us to have morning worship services. We are so grateful," said Rev. Joseph Jones, the pastor for Black Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Jones said his congregation will rebuild their house of worship.

Demolition work could begin as early as this week. It's possible that the Angier worshippers could be in a new permanent church home by the end of this year or early 2019.
