DUNN, N.C. -- Four officers were shot at while responding to a domestic assault call involving weapons.
- Officers responded to a domestic call involving weapons Friday night.
- Suspect, Trever West, opened fire on the officers.
- West was shot, no officers were hit.
The officers arrived at 388 Pope Rd. in Dunn at approximately 11:25 Friday night.
Once there, they encountered Trevor West, 27, who was brandishing a handgun.
West refused to put down the gun and opened fire on the officers who shot back.
West was struck and transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No officers were struck.
Per standard protocol, the NC State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident.
