Nineteen-year-old Breanna Lewis, of Chesterfield County, was charged this week with killing 11-month-old Harlee Lane Lewis, whom the mother initially said was kidnapped.

Breanna Lewis was originally charged with filing a false police report and improper disposal of human remains. A gag order prevents officials from discussing the case.

Harlee was reported missing May 29, and deputies issued an Amber Alert as they began the search. Breanna Lewis had originally said she was punched by a man stole Harlee from her arms.

Harlee's body was soon found in a diaper box about 1,000 yards from the home.

Deputies have not said how the child died.
