CHAPELL HILL, N.C. -- The UNC Board of Trustees has voted to revoke the honorary degree awarded to Bill Cosby in 2003.

  • A jury in Pennsylvania found Cosby guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand.
  • Temple University, Carnegie Melon and North Carolina A&T have stripped Cosby of his honorary degree.

Last month, a jury in Pennsylvania found Cosby guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.

Several Universities, including Temple University, Carnegie Melon and North Carolina A&T have stripped Cosby of his honorary degree.

This is the first time in the university's history the board has had to take away an honorary degree.
